Marriage: how much work should it take?

~Should marriage be hard work? Work, yes. But constant hard work? That’s debatable.
~Dennis asks, "If marriage is daily hard work, then why would you want to get married?"
~caller says, "the biggest test in a relationship is if you can go on vacation with them for 10 days and still enjoy being with them." The applies to all relationships, not just marriage.
~caller says, "Children are hard work, but they are worth it." Dennis say, "yes, children are worth the hard work it takes, but it's different. One reason to get married is to have a refuge from the world."
~At times, it will be hard work. But if it's a daily hard work, then it can become discouraging.
